HAECO Xiamen and COMAC Sign Training Co-operation Framework Agreement

HAECO Xiamen and  Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (“COMAC”)  have  recently  signed a training co-operation framework agreement. Under the  agreement, HAECO Xiamen Technical Training Centre, a CCAR-147, HKAR-147 and EASA Part-147 approved aircraft maintenance training organisation, will become a key training base for the continuous development of COMAC’s personnel. HAECO Xiamen will utilise its  extensive  experience and resources in  training within the aviation industry to deliver a series of aviation-focused theoretical  and practical training courses to COMAC.
 
Since 2008, HAECO Xiamen Technical Training  delivered over 240,000 student-courses for in-house and external customers. The Company has also recently  welcomed the 1,000th student from COMAC. Leveraging its experience in management and type rating training, HAECO Xiamen will support COMAC in setting  up and developing its maintenance training system and practical training facilities, as well as nurturing in-house instructors. HAECO Xiamen and COMAC will collaborate on designing maintenance training and type rating training courses, and share training resources for COMAC aircraft types. 
 
Starting from the basic skills in maintaining aircraft components, HAECO Xiamen and COMAC are committed to working together in progressively nurturing well-rounded aircraft engineering professionals who will serve the  Chinese aviation industry’s growing needs for aircraft design, manufacturing and customer service personnel.
 
This framework agreement signifies a step up in the co-operation between HAECO Xiamen and COMAC, which will  forge a closer partnership  between the  two companies.

 About HAECO Xiamen Technical Training
HAECO Xiamen Technical Training is a technical arm within the HAECO Group. Located near the Xiamen  Gaoqi International Airport, the HAECO Xiamen Technical Training Centre provides a comprehensive range of aviation maintenance courses and training services to airlines, MROs and universities in China and the rest of the world, covering aircraft types, basic licence, practical skills, aviation English and human factors. It is the only facility in China to have acquired CCAR-147, HKAR-147 and EASA Part-147 training approvals and it is also an approved examination site for CCAR-66, HKAR-66 and EASA Part 66 maintenance personnel licences. The 45,000-square metre facility can accommodate around 1,000 students per day.
